Princess Beatrice Had A Surprise Wedding, Conveniently Forgot To Invite Us Peasants

Princess Beatrice

Princess Beatrice tied the knot with her fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a secret ceremony overnight, and wouldn’t you bloody know it, she completely neglected to tell any of us dirty, unwashed commoners about the event.

The princess and the property developer – which sounds like a Lifetime movie I would probably actually watch – were due to get married on May 29 at St James’s Palace, but had to cancel the event thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The original ceremony was due to have 150 guests. Instead, the pair married in front of an estimated 20 people at All Saints Chapel in Windsor Great Park.

Those present to see Princess Beatrice get hitched included her parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, as well as grandparents the Queen and Prince Philip. Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank also reportedly attended.

Buckingham Palace has been pretty quiet on the details of the event, but said in a statement that it was held in accordance with COVID-19 social distancing protocols:

“The private wedding ceremony of Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took place at 11am on Friday 17th July at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor. The small ceremony was attended by The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and close family. The wedding took place in accordance with all relevant Government Guidelines.”

Prince Andrew faces ongoing calls to speak to the FBI about his connection to the late child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

Andrew has not commented on Maxwell’s recent arrest, but has denied any wrongdoing of his own.
