Pete Davidson seemed to make light of the breakdown of his super intense relationship with Ariana Grande in a promo for this weekend’s Saturday Night Live.

Jonah Hill is hosting on Saturday, with musical guest 24-year-old singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers, who with Davidson first made light of their youth compared to Hill. And then there was this tense exchange.
“Hey Maggie, I’m Pete.”
“Hey Pete.”
“You wanna get married?” Davidson asks.
Her response is blunt and to the point: “No.”
“O for three,” Davidson says to camera, Hill and Rogers visibly uncomfortable.
The first two he’s referring to here are presumably Grande – they broke up in mid-October – and then maybe his long-term girlfriend before that, Cazzie David, Larry David‘s daughter. Or it could be his ex before either of them stand-up Carly Aquilino. Eeeep.
Fun thing: you can see very clearly here underneath Davidson’s ear where his Ariana bunny mask bunny tattoo used to be. It was turned into a pair of black love hearts back in October.
Back in late October, Davidson made fun of himself in a stand-up set in Los Angeles, jokingly asking if anyone needed a roommate, and talking about how he has been covering up his Grande tattoos. Oh and then he compared himself to the state of America today.
“I feel like I am America,” Davidson said. “I’m a good guy that just keeps getting kicked in the dick. You’re like, ‘Ah, that fucking poor kid. Hope he doesn’t kill himself.’ That’s America.”
It’s good that he can laugh at himself though. Dude’s obvs a romantic. He’s just not having any luck. Sorry Pete. Just cry it all out and you’ll be right.
