Comedian Pete Davidson is back on Saturday Night Live and badder than ever… literally ‘coz he just made an extremely bad joke that involves fiancé Ariana Grande and birth control.

When the 24-year-old appeared on Weekend Update to discuss his relationship with the pop star, he cracked a ‘funny’ about how he’s going to make sure that Ari stays with him by impregnating her.
“Last night I switched her birth control with Tic-Tacs…I believe in us and all, but I just want to make sure that she can’t go anywhere,” he ‘joked’.
After the episode aired, loads of angry fans took to Twitter to slam Davidson for making the offensive remark.
After this fraught week, it was nice to watch Colin Jost and Pete Davidson laugh about meddling with a woman’s birth control pills. Very current, very now, very good stuff

Generally I thought Pete Davidson was funny, but until birth control sabotage stops being a common form of abuse and a way abusers trap women in dangergous relationships, I’m not going to laugh at that joke #SNLPremiere

[cw sexual abuse]
I was really enjoying @nbcsnl tonight until Pete Davidson made a joke about switching Ariana Grande’s birth control with tic tacs so she couldn’t go anywhere.
That joke would be horrifying on a normal week, but THIS week?
WTF, SNL, this is Not OK

Apparently Pete Davidson thinks it’s ok to make jokes about switching Ariana’s birth control with tic-tacs?? Really? At this stage in the game this dude can no longer call these jokes.

Davidson previously came under fire for jokes he made during a standup comedy routine in 2017.
According to The Sun, the incident occurred at LA’s Laugh Factory just five months after the bombing at his fiancé’s Manchester concert last year that claimed the lives of 22 people.
He reportedly said Grande must know how famous she had become because “Britney Spears didn’t have a terrorist attack at her concert.”
Grande responded to a fan who asked why she is still engaged to the Saturday Night Live comic.

Charlotte Hodgson, whose 15-year-old daughter Olivia Campbell-Hardy was killed in the attack, recently spoke out about the incident.
“For anyone to joke about this situation is disgusting and I think he should publicly apologise for it,” she told The Mirror. “The families will find it equally as disgusting.”
“We don’t need jokes about it, there have been plenty around, and it’s heartbreaking to hear every day. But for someone so famous to be doing it and now to be with Ariana, it’s outrageous. I think she would be horrified too.”
Sources told the publication that the joke was met with immediate backlash from the crowd.
“It drew gasps from the crowd and everyone squirmed in their seats, the event five months earlier was still pretty fresh, and there were plenty of British tourists in the crowd.”
