Olivia Wilde, Harry Styles

Folks, it appears the first celebrity dating rumour of 2021 has struck. According to the ~ mysterious sources ~ of the entertainment world, Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles are apparently dating. Or, they were just holding hands at a wedding.

Styles attended his agent’s intimate wedding over the weekend with Wilde in California. The pair have been working together on psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, which Styles stars in and Wilde directs. More on that film in a tick.

In photos obtained by the gossip mongers at Page Six, the pair can be seen holding hands at the wedding. While holding hands isn’t concrete evidence of a romance, it has of course got people (and the sources) talking.

One source told People that Wilde and Styles have been dating for a “few weeks”.

As always, get out your grain of salts.

“They were in Montecito, California this weekend for a wedding,” the source told the publication. “They were affectionate around their friends, held hands and looked very happy. They have dated for a few weeks.”

The pair were then spotted again arriving at Styles’ home after the wedding.

“Olivia and Harry have become close and the pair have been spending a lot of time together in recent weeks. She has been visiting his home on several occasions,” a seperate source told the Daily Mail.

In November, it was reported Wilde had split from her longtime partner Jason Sudeikis in early 2020. They share two children together.

Don’t Worry Darling costars Florence Pugh (Little Women, Midsommar), Chris Pine (Wonder Woman, Star Trek), and Wilde, who previously directed Book Smart and who has appeared in titles including House.

Other actors in the film include Big Mouth‘s Nick KrollGemma Chan (Crazy Rich AsiansCaptain Marvel), and Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades trilogy, Suspiria).

Don’t Worry Darling is set in the 1950s and focuses on a housewife (Pugh), who discovers a disturbing truth while living in a rather isolated community in California with her husband (Styles).

In his cover story for Vogue‘s December issue, Wilde praised Styles for his confidence.

“To me, he’s very modern,” she said, “and I hope that this brand of confidence as a male that Harry has – truly devoid of any traces of toxic masculinity – is indicative of his generation and therefore the future of the world. I think he is in many ways championing that, spearheading that. It’s pretty powerful and kind of extraordinary to see someone in his position redefining what it can mean to be a man with confidence.”

There’s yet to be an official release date for Don’t Worry Darling, but we’ll keep you updated.
