Hollywood’s hottest new couple Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles have only been public for a week but people are already speculating that he was the reason for her breakup with former fiance Jason Sudeikis.
Sudeikis and Wilde announced the end of their engagement back in November, with sources claiming to PEOPLE Mag that they had been separated for most of 2020 at that point.
However, new sources have been quick to push the narrative that Wilde left her former fiance and the father of her two children for Harry Styles after they began filming Don’t Worry Darling.
“Olivia and Jason were having issues, like any other couple, but Jason loves Olivia — he completely adores her, and that’s what makes this so sad. He’s always been committed to making their family work,” the source told Page Six.
“People have tried to make out that Harry and Olivia have only been dating for the past few weeks, but that’s not right,” the insider added. “Jason found out about Harry and pushed the conversation. Olivia then asked for a separation and news of the split was made public.”
A similar story was told to PEOPLE, however, it’s unclear if this is the same – or a different – anonymous source.
“She and Jason were very much together as recently as this fall,” an insider told PEOPLE.
“Jason feels that the timeline that Olivia and Harry would like people to believe – that she and Jason split ages ago, long before she became involved with Harry – is simply not accurate.
“She began filming [Don’t Worry Darling] in September, and by October, he began to get the impression that she wanted out. By November, they’d announced their split.”
At this point, it’s hard to decide who is telling the truth. I mean, how are you supposed to pick which anonymous source to believe?
While it’s unclear exactly how the timelines line up, what we *do* know is that Olivia Wilde has absolutely destroyed my chances of becoming Mrs Harry Styles.
