Miley Cyrus has denied allegations that her decade-long relationship and seven-month marriage to Aussie gun Liam Hemsworth disintegrated due to her cheating, using a sprawling Twitter thread to own up to all manner of prior incidents – but not infidelity. At least, she said she hasn’t cheated for a few years.

Cyrus, who was reportedly filed divorce papers by Hemsworth this week after she was spotted pashing her mate Kaitlynn Carter, kicked things off this morning by acknowledging her inescapable public profile: in one way or another, Cyrus has been a pop culture figure since she was a kid, and she seems to be at terms with our ravenous interest.
“I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time,” she said.
“What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed. I have nothing to hide.”
What followed was a candid reflection of her past actions. Cyrus admitted she wasn’t the most dedicated partner to Hemsworth at earlier points in her life, and copped to a litany of other incidents which dented her public image.

But the Nothing Breaks Like A Heart singer stopped short of saying her relationship with Hemsworth crumbled due to her straying from whatever terms they set.
“But the truth is, once Liam & I reconciled, I meant it, & I was committed,” she said.
“I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating,” the Black Mirror star added.
“Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will.”
