Matthew Goode Is A Bloody Handsome Vampire In First Clip From New Series

If you’re a watcher of addictive telly series or have witnessed the  shitty-goodness that is Chasing Liberty then you’ll be familiar with one, Matthew Goode – excellent man with the timeless looks. We haven’t heard much from the lad lately which is why it’s extremely exciting to see him star in the new series trailer for Discovery of Witches.

Mates, this sounds delish and will most likely be one of your next binge-worthy drama series.

A Discovery of Witches is the first novel in the All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness. The series is massive to say the least and spent some time on the New York Times Best Seller list which is quite the hefty achievement.

Goode stars as vampire – yes vampire and professor Matthew Clairmont opposite our very own Aussie actor Teresa Palmer who plays Diana Bishop. You may remember Palmer from Warm Bodies and Hacksaw Ridge.

The gist is Diana, a descendant of Salem witches, accidentally unlocks a bewitched book which flings her into the world of magic. It’s a bit of a surprise, to say the least, which is when charming, charming, charming Matthew Clairmont rocks up and offers to help her ‘cos he’s been looking for the book for ages. The thing is, witches and vampires together are a big fat no so their alliance is not only rare, but it’s bloody forbidden.

Together, the two must work together to protect the book while defeating a heap of evil creatures and solving mini mysteries.

You can suss out the trailer, below:

In conclusion:

  • Teresa Palmer – Aussie represent.
  • Matthew Goode is a 1,500 year old vampire AKA lots of stories of his mysterious past are a sure thing.
  • Matthew Goode is a bloody VAMPIRE, folks.
  • It’s a SERIES.
  • Drama, drama, drama.
  • FORBIDDEN LOVE.

If you’re a fan of the Lucifer series (recently saved from cancellation by Netflix) starring Tom Ellis and Lauren German then A Discovery of Witches sounds right up your alley.

There’s yet to be an official release date but we’ll keep ya in the loop.

P.S The series will premier on Sky, way across the pond… but you know… it’ll be up… on… other places… nothing illegal going on here.
