Matt Okine Talks Filming Sex Scenes With His Dick In A Bag On ‘The Project’

Comedian, actor and frankly underrated rapper Matt Okine jumped onto ‘The Project‘ tonight to promote his new Stan series ‘The Other Guy‘.

The semi-autobiographical series, which follows breakfast radio host, AJ, as his ten-year relationship ends, is written by Okine, along with Becky Lucas and Greg Waters. The show stars the man himself as AJ, as well as Harriet Dyer, Michael Hing, Christian Van Vuuren and Briggs.

On ‘The Project‘, Okine first gleefully acknowledged that he and Waleed Aly are “finally in the same room together” – which should help end his existential crisis: “I have been compared to you so many times, I started thinking I was you. I was like: ‘Am I Aly?’

But the meat of the matter came when – after talking about the dissolution of his real-life ten-year relationship, and the holiday the not-couple took afterwards – Okine took all the mystery out of sex scenes on Australian television.

All because Steve Price of all people wanted to know if he was comfortable with showing his “backside” on television.

I’ve never had to do nude scenes before – that was a tough one. I’ve never had to do a sex scene, and you’ve gotta sorta stuff your bits into like this bag.

It’s so weird because you’re having this sex scene and you’re making out and you’re in this passionate moment. And then you’re tearing each other’s clothes off and then you pull your pants down and your dick’s just in a bag. it’s really unsexy I gotta tell ya.

The interview was sex-tinged from the get-go, Okine also talking about using coconut oil in his hair to prevent baldness – coconut oil which he’d purchased when he was “in the dating world“. You can see that he regrets bringing it up as soon as he starts the story:

I’d heard it was a good massage thing, a good oil for massaging… Never used it and now I’m rubbing it in to make my bald hair grow. It’s like the unsexiest thing ever. It went from me having really high expectations for this jar of oil to me just rubbing it through my pathetic head of hair.

Aly uses this moment to clarify something direct-to-camera: “We are quite different.”

You can binge ‘The Other Guy‘ on Stan from Thursday.
