In September last year we absolutely frothed it at the news that local streaming platform Stan had commissioned a new show from comedian, radio host and general legend Matt Okine and this morning the frothometer has been bumped up to ‘CRITICAL’ with the release of the series first trailer.
Penned by Matt himself, along with fellow LOLpanions Becky Lucas and Greg Waters the semi-autobiographical ‘The Other Guy‘ sees Okine play AJ, a brekky radio host dealing with life and love after splitting with his girlfriend of 10 years.
Today’s trailer is the first proper look at the show and it looks to be a solid mix of Okine-brand humour and some capital ‘D’ Drama. Plus you see Matt’s butt. BUTTS!

Also 10 points to whoever wrote the line “I have been poisoned and the only cure is chips”, as perfectly delivered by Harriet Dyer as Matt’s relatable af housemate. The cast is rounded out by comedian Micheal Hing as his radio co-host (Alex who?), Christian Van Vuuren of ‘Bondi Hipster‘ fame and holy shit, it’s Briggs!
