Just when I thought I’d have to wallow a bit longer in my post-Love Island UK depression, the Lord Almighty blessed me with hope – the first heavenly promo for Love Island Australia‘s second season is here and, girl, my head’s already in the clouds.
In the preview snippet, GOAT Sophie Monk gets visited by a God of Love, who announces that “we’ve got a big problem with love. There’s just not enough. Dating apps aren’t working… we need more love.”
“It’s all taken care of,” cupid Monk responds. “I’ve got the perfect place for falling in love. It’s an island… a love island.”
Smooth.
Last year, we witnessed a drastic rise in the word ‘bro’, frightening levels of masculinity and whole heap of flanter. I’m sure this season will be much the same, but please, for the love of God, give us an Australian equivalent to Love Island UK‘s Maura Higgins. It’s what the people want.
Judging by this promo, we can expect to meet this season’s competitors very soon. My fanny’s trobbin’.
