Someone At Kmart’s Definitely Getting Fired For This Cooked Kids’ DVD Blurb

Cards on the table here, I really don’t know anything about the Shopkins – I assume they’re like the Kardashians for the under-five set or something like that – but even with my limited knowledge, I still don’t think Kmart‘s description of their latest animated DVD is entirely accurate.

The retailer’s Australian website is currently selling Shopkins World Vacation, but as a reader brought to our attention, something in the plot summary feels a little off. Cop a load of this:

They’re jetting off and you’re invited! Shopkins travels to an assortment iof nternational places and they discover a lot of sex and drugs on their way. Shoppies go on a wild chase as Kooky Cookie goes missing as she was caught up in a diamond heist. Let’s watch them attempt amazing challenges and enjoy their crazy adventure in Europe.

We’re guessing that whoever wrote the blurb either (a) has not seen the film, (b) is taking some wild liberties with the story, or (c) is taking the piss. We highly suspect it’s the last one, although who knows? Maybe kids’ entertainment is just way racier these days, and all that stuff happens. Get it, Kooky Cookie.

You can find the DVD and its description on the Kmart website for now, although we assume that this bad boy will be getting taken down at some point soon, and someone will be getting fired. Good thing the internet never forgets:

In case you were wondering (as we were):

Shopkins is a range of tiny, collectable toys, manufactured by Moose Toys. Based on grocery store items, each plastic figure has a cute face and unique name. The collectable toys (which are designated as common, rare, ultra rare, special edition, limited edition, and exclusive) also have lines of clothing, trading cards, and other merchandise.

So there you have it. We hope you feel enriched by this information.
