Kim K Promoted Donda By Sharing Screenshots Of The Tracks On Mute & Insert Skull Emoji Here

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West

Just when you thought it wouldn’t happen, Kanye West finally unleashed Donda… well, someone did. Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, took to his Instagram this morning to claim Universal Music released his tenth studio album without his permission.

But we aren’t here to talk about Universal Music, we’re here to talk about Ye’s soon to be ex-wife Kim Kardashian, who promoted Donda by posting screenshots of its songs to Instagram… with the sound on mute.

Kim shared a number of tunes from Donda to her Instagram overnight, including ‘Hurricane’ and ‘Lord I Need You’. As you can imagine, the songs on mute made quite the impression on social media.

On one hand, it’s v. civil of her to publicly support the man she’s divorcing. On the other, promoting the music on mute is objectively funny.

Despite rumours Ye and Kim were on the mend, a source has since told People that the pair still plan to divorce. You can understand the confusion though, considering Kim rocked up to Ye’s most recent Donda listening party in a bridal gown.

That is a veil and a half, hey?

A source told People, which are pretty on the money with these things, that while the couple have come “a long way” since news of the divorce surfaced in February, it doesn’t mean a reunion is on the cards.

“It’s taken them months to get to this point,” the source, grain of salt, told the publication. “Kim is happy that they get along and that things are amicable.”

The source added that Kim wants to maintain a good relationship with Kanye, especially for their kids. They share four children: North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2.

“Filing for divorce was always the most difficult decision for Kim,” the source continued. “She only filed because they had issues that they couldn’t solve. She will always love Kanye though.”

Kim has shared some more screenshots of Donda tracks to Instagram, by the way. And this time the volume’s been turned up… a lot.

Divorce aside, if Ye’s claim about Universal Music is true then that could explain why ‘Jail 2’ was temporarily unplayable on streaming services.

“Universal Music put my album out without my approval and they blocked ‘Jail 2’ from being on the album,” the artist shared to Instagram on Monday morning.

At the time of writing, however, ‘Jail pt 2’ is now available to stream on Spotify.
