Kim Kardashian Fears She May Lose Her Uterus Due To Pregnancy Complications

Kim Kardashian has generally been open about the struggles she’s faced through her two pregnancies, everything from the pre-eclampsia she suffered while she was carrying North West, through to the naked preggo selfie she posted to swat away rumours that she is using a surrogate this time.
This week, the reality star revealed her fears that she may not be able to carry another child to term after her current pregnancy, following a diagnosis of a condition called placenta accreta.
When suffering from this condition, the placenta does not fully detach from the wall of the uterus after giving birth, which can lead to complications including severe blood loss.
After giving birth the first time, Kardashian had to undergo surgeries for placenta accreta, including one that left a hole in the wall of her uterus. Per a recent interview with C Magazine, she has been told that the condition will likely affect her when she gives birth again:
Will you stop at two kids then?

Well, they think I’ll have placenta accreta again, so if the placenta grows a little bit deeper than it did last time, then they are prepared to have my uterus removed, which is a little scary for me. I think we’re just gonna go day by day, see how overwhelming it is, and see how the delivery goes.
Kim’s new baby is due in November, and after that, in a quote that probably sent a shiver down the spine of E! Network executives, she hinted that she might take a step back from reality TV in years to come.
“I probably won’t be as much in front of the camera, but a bit more behind the scenes as far as our clothing line and our stores,” she said, when asked where she sees herself in future. “We have some big ideas and are kind of spacing it out.”
