Katy Perry Is RTing From The Shadows As This Taylor V Calvin Mess Goes Down

ICYM the #1 public relationship spat this morning, Calvin Harris began bitterly tweeting about Taylor Swift, accusing her of trying to tear him down with her team releasing the info that she had written (under a pseudonym) his current hit, ‘This Is What You Came For‘.

It was delightfully shady – but the most telling tweet was this:

I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it

Quick pop culture history 101: it’s long been suspected that T-Swizzles and ex-mate Katy Perry have been in a years-long beef, with entire articles analysing the theories, timelines and evidence (of which there is plenty).

Like, there’s a not totally unfounded conspiracy theory that Taylor positioning herself as Queen Bee of the world’s popular group was as much about ‘getting revenge’ on Katy as it was been about making money. It’s essentially the R+L=J of the pop world. We all pretty much know it’s true, but concrete evidence is lacking.

Which makes Calvin’s tweet about Taylor needing some new to bury “like Katy” the closest thing to confirmation we’ll likely ever get.

(Either that, or he’s picked up a lesson or two in media manipulation.)

And Katy Perry has responded with the shadiest retweet of the goddamn century.
