Kanye West Has Deleted His Insta And Twitter Again, For Whatever Reason

The ever-inscrutable Kanye West appears to have deleted his social media accounts yet again, after a months-long tear that saw him courting controversy with his support of Donald Trump and various conservative political causes.

As of today, both his Twitter and Instagram accounts show up as blank pages. He deleted both accounts back in May of 2017, but had returned to social media within months, so we can only assume that that will be the case this time also.

His representatives have not yet made a comment, and wife Kim Kardashian hasn’t said anything – her most recent Instagram post is a throwback to lil’ baby Kim in the ’90s, which is a hell of a mood – so we’ll just have to ride this one out I guess.

In other Kanye West-related news, he has moved the release date of his next album, which for the moment is being called Yandhi, back to November 23, to give himself more time to work on it, saying he plans to finish it in Africa.

The album’s arrival was originally meant to coincide with the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, which featured the rapper as a musical guest, but that did not end up happening.

He did, however, take the opportunity to make a speech about Trump at the end of the show, and although it did not make the actual broadcast, Kenan Thompson described it as like watching a “circus” unfold.

“He voiced his opinion, very loudly, for a long time,” the comedian and SNL star told Seth Meyers. “We’re all entitled to our opinion, but you know, I don’t know if that’s the moment, necessarily, to hold people hostage like that, but hey.” You can watch their interview below:
