Singer and actress Lopez has been dating former New York Yankees star Rodriguez since early 2017, and based on their Instagram posts for the past several days, pair currently appear to be on a romantic island getaway.

Shortly before the announcement, Rodriguez made a mushy announcement about soulmates on his Instagram stories, writing:
“A soulmate isn’t someone who completes you. No, a soulmate is someone who inspires you to complete yourself. A soulmate is someone who loves you with so much conviction, and so much heart, that it is nearly impossible to doubt just how capable you are of becoming exactly who you have always wanted to be.”
