If you’re like me and the news that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom got engaged recently made you think “wait, what?” and then spend the next ten minutes trying to figure out when this happened and why you were not previously informed, or why your brain simply refused to store it in your memory, Katy’s done the work for you and talked about how the two met.

After getting together back in 2016, taking some ~time apart~ in 2017 and then reuniting in 2018, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom somehow blended into the background of everyones memory (or maybe just mine, who knows) until Feb 14, the Love Day, when Orlando popped the question via helicopter and him elbowing a bottle of champagne and ripping his coat pocket.
Katy delved into the story of the moment the pair met, when she met an American Idol contestant who works at Katy’s local In-N-Out burger in Las Vegas.
The meet-cute happened over an In-N-Out burger when Orlando went to nick one of the ten burgies that Katy had delivered by her security guards at the Golden Globes. Normal stuff.
Apparently, Katy called him out when he grabbed one of the burgers off the table, before realising who was attached to the hand attempting to get a five-finger discount. I don’t want to say it was love at first sight, but there definitely would have been some kind of

I mean this is all well and cute and super relatable until you realise that she didn’t go to In-N-Out in her comfies like the rest of us would, she was definitely dressed to the nines at the Golden Globes, and her ~boyfriend~ that she met wasn’t some freeloading d-bag but just casually Orlando fuckin’ Bloom.
But I digress, burgs bring people together and can create love. And that’s the power of a good double-double.
