The last time we checked in on the dexterous force of steroids that is 53 year old Belgian martial artist and late 80s-early 90s action film veteran Jean-Claude Van Damme (“Bloodsport,” “Kickboxer,” “Universal Soldier”), he retroactively admitted to giving “our” Kylie Minogue a guided tour of “his Thailand” on the set of Street Fighter (he banged her), but even that seems ¯_(?)_/¯ in comparison to what he has done for Swedish car manufacturer Volvo in an ad whose conceit is to demonstrate the driving stability and precision of their Volvo Dynamic Steering system…by making The Muscles from Brussels place his feet atop the side-view mirrors of two moving Volvo trucks and do the splits while the audio soy chai latte that is Enya’s voice assures us that we aren’t about to witness JCVD pop a testicle or have his legs fall off.
That would be terrible. This on the other hand? This ad is great.
