The Dude Who Played Smith On ‘SATC’ Got Real Shady About Kim Cattrall

IMPORTANT, GAME-CHANGING SEX AND THE CITY UPDATE ALERT.

The feud between Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker has been hitting headlines over the past few months, and now, for perhaps the first time, we’re seeing other people involved take sides.

Jason Lewis – who played the walking definition of the “hunky”, Smith Jerrod, opposite Catrall’s Samantha – has come out firmly in favour of Team SJP.

Appearing on US morning show KTLA 5 this week to promote his new film Half Magic, he was of course asked to comment about the ongoing war of words between two out of four of the SATC women.

“Listen, I would have to say that Sarah was always so lovely and such a consummate professional, and I think that people should remember their graciousness and the things that have been given to them, and I’m going to stop there because I’ve got nothing good to say,” he said.

One more time for the folks at the back: he’s got “nothing good to say”.

Reading between the lines, I would say that he’s not exactly Cattrall’s biggest fan. But you know – just a hunch.

When he was asked point blank he was Team SJP, he answered in the affirmative. “I might just have to say yeah, yeah,” he said. “What a gracious lady; she was always so good to me.”

When the interviewer tried again to get him to dish the goods, by asking if he meant that Cattrall was not so good to him, he replied by doubling on the fact that *Sarah* was amazing. (Sarah. I guess that’s what her friends call her.)

You can watch the full interview below, and shock horror – Smith Jason has a drawl.
