Kim Cattrall Slams “Cruel” Sarah Jessica Parker After Her Brother’s Death

Kim Cattrall has laid into her former Sex & The City co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, labelling her as “cruel” and a “hypocritie” in an angry social media rant, and pretty definitively dashing any hopes of a reunion between the original cast.

Cattrall’s brother Christopher recently passed away, and after thanking her fans and Sex & The City colleagues for their support, the actress made an Instagram post specifically addressing Parker and saying “I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time.”

In the caption of the post, Cattrall wrote:

“My Mom asked me today “When will that Sarah Jessica Parker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?” Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already). You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”

Speaking to Extra earlier this week, Parker addressed Christopher Cattrall’s death, saying:

“I can’t begin to know how her family is managing such a loss. We all send her our love and condolences and grant her the privacy that she’s asked for.”

Last year, there were reports that the script for a third Sex & The City movie had been written, but that Kim Cattrall had torpedoed the production thanks to various diva demands.

The actress angrily rejected these reports, saying her only “demand” was that she didn’t want to do a third film in the first place. She later told Piers Morgan:

“The inference is from some unknown source, the inference is, is that I am a diva, that I’ve held up production in some way, that ‘Oh, now we don’t get to make our movie because of you.’ And now, now at this very moment it’s quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I’ve been saying for almost a year of ‘no’ that I’m demanding or a diva. And this is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker in that I really think she could have been nicer.”

Sarah Jessica Parker has yet to respond.
