HOOO BOY: The Fancy Netflix ‘Gilmore Girls’ Series Has A Fancy New Title

IT’S REALLY HAPPENING, YOU GUYS.

We’ve seen the drip-fed casting news, fist-pumped when we learned all of Rory‘s old boyfriends would be returning, did a quiet, quick gasp of glee when we saw the first set photos, and generally frothed over the idea of getting more episodes of the highly beloved and dearly departed Gilmore Girls.
And now there’s a little bit more info to get keen(er) on.
The Netflix revival series is shooting AS WE SPEAK on a studio lot that happens to be very conveniently near where ‘Ellen‘ shoots her daily talkshow.
So in between shots, Lauren Graham found a spare few seconds to hop on the ole’ inter-lot golf cart and zoom across to pay The Generous one a wee visit, and drop a tasty lil morsel of inside goss as well.
Graham revealed the series, which will be four episodes that run to 90 minutes apiece, will go under the banner of ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life‘. And as the title suggests, the series is gonna cover a fair amount of ground.
Each of the four episodes will focus on events that transpire in each of the seasons in Stars Hollow, so one episode focuses on summer, one on winter, one on spring, and the other on autumn (though they’ll probs call it fall because seppos).

Graham also stated that filming was “almost done,” which means OH SHIT IT’S COMING SOON.
There’s no timeframe for the series’ release just yet, but our bodies are well and truly ready.
