HOLY CRAP, Disney’s New ‘Star Wars’ Theme Park Looks 100% Amazing

Despite the fact that Disney buying up all your favourite film properties – like a boorish billionaire buying the rec centre and threatening to bulldoze it and turn it into a tourist resort unless you complete a training montage and beat his arrogant son Chad in a skiing race – is a worrying prospect on paper, the reality of it has thus far been dick-splittingly magnificent.

The House of Mouse has taken the Marvel film franchise and churned out some of the most financially profitable, and wildly entertaining superhero films that the genre has ever seen. And their acquisition of the Star Wars franchise has resulted in a new film that was straight-up balls-to-the-wall fantastic.
And because the sweet spot where nerd appetites for cool shit and a corporation’s desire to make money hand-over-fist intersect represents the middle of a particularly fruitful Venn Diagram, Disney is about to bend some minds (and empty some wallets) with a new addition to their famed theme parks.
Disneyland in Anahiem and Walt Disney World in Orlando will both gain Star Wars Land additions to their grounds; sprawling, enormous sections of theme park entirely dedicated to putting people inside the much beloved world of Star Wars.
And during Disneyland‘s 60th anniversary TV gala, aired overnight in the US (can’t wait for the Dreamworld anniversary TV special out here) more details on the parks were released.
Harrison Ford introduced the artist-rendered package, which revealed that park visitors will be able to wander the streets of a Star Wars-set world, eat the food, interact with droids and aliens, visit cantinas…
…oh yeah, and pilot the MILLENNIUM FUCKING FALCON.

The other feature attraction of the parks will put people inside a heated battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
My Imperial Credits. Shut up and take them.
No word yet on when the park additions will open, but construction is currently underway.
BRB, moving to the US.
