The new year is right around the corner but 2018 – Year of the Endless Reboots – may have struck again. This time with talks of a Lizzie McGuire revival.

Somehow, it’s been a solid 14 years since Hilary Duff‘s Lizzie McGuire and her animated alter ego appeared on our telly screens but she’s still as relevant as ever… especially if you happen to be holidaying in Rome and need a good Insta caption. Speaking of which, The Lizzie McGuire Movie premiered all the way back in goddamn 2003.

Anywhoo, while chatting to Entertainment Tonight at a fundraiser, Duff revealed she’s been discussing the possibility of a revival in today’s age.

“There’s been some conversations,”  the 31-year-old said however she made it clear that said conversations are very much just a conversation at this point.

“It’s definitely not a go. I don’t want to get everyone wild talking about it.”

Despite this, Duff is still “excited” as heck at the possibility.

“I mean I love her so much,” she told ET. “I think she was so important to girls at an important time in their life. If she could be important to them again at this age, I think that would be amazing.”

As for what Lizzie would be up to these days, Duff didn’t say much although unlike herself, she believes Lizzie wouldn’t be a mama just yet.

“But she might be getting there soon,” she added.

Since one of Disney’s other wildly successful 00s show, That’s So Raven, recently copped its own reboot called Raven’s Home, Lizzie McGuire revival is not completely out of the question.

“It could be a possibility or it could be nothing, so we’ll see,” Duff said.

Not to make you feel bloody old or anything but…

Obviously, while we’re all here.
