Hello, Old Nightmares: The ‘Goosebumps’ Movie Gets A Poster

We’re aware that this could be the shortest story of the year, but stuff it – the ‘Goosebumps‘ movie just got a poster, and it’s all our old nightmares combined.

The poster features such cold sweat-inducing monsters as those from ‘The Werewolf of Fever Swamp‘, ‘Attack of the Jack-O-Lanterns‘, and the absolute worst of the lot, Slappy from ‘Night of the Living Dummy‘ I-III.

Here, listen to this while you gaze on in a heady mix of terror and nostalgia.

That’s an almost unrecognisable Jack Black as R.L. Stein in the centre, who’s going to be the protagonist of this reboot. Rather than borrowing the plot from any one of the books or episodes, the film is going to be a meta mashup of the whole lot, where R.L. Stein’s imaginary demons are let loose on the town of Greendale, Maryland.

It has a release date in the U.S. of October 15, 2015 (no word yet on Australia), so we’ve got a few months of will it be good / bad / so bad it’s good / complete and utter tripe / the greatest thing to hit screens this year speculation ahead of us.
