There are twenty-nine cold, wet autumnal days between now and the fiery season three premiere of Game of Thrones, and nothing burns like the cold, the amount of pyrotechnics used in that show or the anticipation that mounts between seasonal drinks.
Last weekend, HBO gave fans a glimpse of the third series by virtue of its afire first full-length trailer, and earlier this week we spoke with Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham to discuss his role in the show’s third outing. But even for the most devout fans of the series (sometimes I wish I loved something, anything, as much as they do) that’s probably not going to be enough.
Knowing this, HBO today unveiled twelve character posters featuring familiar chiaroscuro faces from the various houses of Westeros to tide over the show’s most ardent fans until March 31st.
Organised thematically below (the theme being me not having a clue about what order to put them in), if you only look at one on alternate workdays between now and then you should just be able to make it.
