Game of Thrones

When you play the game of thrones, you win or you can get lost somewhere in woop woop trying to find a hidden Iron Throne. And some fans are doing just that.

HBO, geniuses, have decided to promote the final season of Game of Thrones by scattering six Iron Thrones around the world.

Over the past couple of days, images and videos of each throne in its mystery location have been posted to social media and on forthethrone.com. Each video is an hour long and has a 360-degree view to show off the throne’s surroundings at different times of the day. Stare at it long enough and the throne will start to taunt you.

The quest kicked off on March 19 and already, three thrones have been claimed. The Throne of the Forest in Puzzlewood, United Kingdom, the Throne of the North in Björkliden, Sweden, and the Throne of Joy in Castillo De Atienza, Spain.

The Throne of Valyria remains unclaimed and the two last thrones have yet to be revealed. Fans reckon HBO’s hiding the spiky chairs in key filming locations.

Do fans win anything other than a seriously badass picture on the throne? Not sure, but the newly crowned rulers look quite pleased with themselves.

Bonus points to the King and Queen of the North because Björkliden looks bloody cold.

The *gulps* last ever season of Game of Thrones will premiere on Sunday, April 14th in the United States. That means Australia will be getting it on Monday, April 15.

MONDAY ! APRIL ! 15 !
