Last year, Apple messed up by dumping an unwanted U2 album on everyone’s iPhone, but overnight, they redeemed themselves, announcing a brand new partnership with HBO, and unleashing a new trailer for Game Of Thrones Season 5.
This has pretty much everything you could want out of a Thrones trailer – intrigue, dragons, stabbing, Cersei Lannister’s resting bitch face, and a few teasing hints at coming meetings between important characters. Enjoy:
Apple and HBO have teamed up to launch HBO Now, a new standalone service that will be available on Apple TV. As reported earlier, this could shake things up for Foxtel, who currently hold exclusive distribution rights to Thrones in Australia.
The new season debuts on April 12 in the US, and accounting for the time difference, pretty much simultaneously on April 13 over here.
