Ever since the final ep of Friends aired way back in 2004, there has been talk and rumours galore of a reunion.

Considering the frequency of the rumours and the fact that almost all of the cast wasn’t keen to return, die-hard fans such as myself had stopped taking the incessant reunion reports seriously, but the latest report is the most legit one we’ve ever seen.

The Hollywood Reporter (a v. reputable source) has revealed that the six core stars and the creators of the NBC comedy from Warner Bros. TV are in talks to reunite on HBO Max.

It’s looking like it’s gonna be an unscripted reunion special featuring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, as well as series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman.

The insider insists that the deal is “far from done and agreements with cast and creatives still need to be hammered out.”

The report follows a bunch of concrete Friends reunion chatter including the selfie of all six cast members that broke the internet and Aniston’s recent appearance on The Ellen Show.

When asked about the possibility of a reboot, she responded: “Like, a reboot of the show? No.”

“Listen we would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is. So we’re just trying – we’re really, we’re working on something.”

This could very well be that something!
