Florence Pugh and Zach Braff keep their relationship largely off social media, but Zach broke that (non-existent) rule for Florence’s 25th birthday and it’s a bit cute. Also, they’ve sparked rumours they had a secret wedding – but I’ll get to that in a bit.
So Florence turned 25, and was inundated with a bunch of cute happy birthday messages, including one from her 45-year-old BF Zach Braff.
“Happy Birthday to the most fun person I’ve ever met,” Zach wrote on Instagram.
“I would have felt blessed to have smiled with you for one night. I can’t believe I get to giggle with you everyday. What a pleasure it is to know you. What a gift to the world it was that you were born.”
He turned off the comments on his post, presumably because when Florence publicly wished Zach a happy birthday last April, she received so many comments criticising their 21-year age gap that she posted a video telling everyone to rack off.
“I am 24 years old,” she said.
“I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love, and I would never in my life ever, ever, tell anyone who they can and cannot love. It is not their place, and really, it has nothing to do with you.”
Given the criticism, the couple – who have been together since at least April 2019, and adopted a dog together – mostly went quiet on posting about each other, although occasionally popped up in each other’s Instagram stories. (Source: me, who spends far too much time on Florence Pugh’s Instagram.)
So this public declaration of love is a very cute move from Zach. And yes, the age gap is pretty big, but these two seem very much in love and Zach is definitely not a ‘dates models barely out of high school’ type of guy. (See: Leonardo DiCaprio, Scott Disick.)
Now, about those secret marriage rumours.
One of the posts Florence shared was from a man called Trevor Tuttle, who appears to be mates with Florence IRL and was also friends with the late actor Nick Cordero. (Sorry, that’s a bit dark for this light and fluffy post, but is important in that it indicates Trevor is a close mate who might know about secret weddings and such.)
“Happy birthday to this shining shaker!” Trevor wrote, posting a photo of Florence.
“Your spirit is infectious, your laugh hilarious. You’ve made this awkward year kinda delightful with your pizzas and antics. Much love FPB!”

Now, there is literally nothing other to go on here. That’s it. That’s the entire speculation. It could be an inside joke, or a slip of the fingers, or it could be a super secret wedding that hasn’t been made public until right this minute.
But celebrity gossip account Deuxmoi has posted about it asking for information, so there might be some answers coming.
