Gizmodo has given gamers and DJ wannabes alike their first look at the new “DJ Hero” turntable controller. Disappointingly it looks like the turntable will work similarly to its guitar equivalent ie. press coloured buttons with one hand and scratch (instead of strum) with the other. While the aforementioned gameplay system lends itself to the guitar, it doesn’t really translate to DJ’ing – no faders, no EQs, no pitch control and probably no mixing. Like a horizontal Guitar Hero for people who prefer Armand Van Helden over Van Halen.
