Lionsgate, the studio responsible for the the blockbuster success that was The Hunger Games has officially picked its resident babe/District 4 champion, casting Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair in part two of the film series.
This casting confirmation comes after Claflin’s recent Snow White and The Huntsmen fame, ending recent speculation over who would be chosen to play the sexiest man in Panem. Previous rumours linked the role to Robbert Pattinson, Zac Efron and basically every other tween heartthrob thinkable.
In book two The Hunger Games:Catching Fire we meet Finnick, a 24 year old tribute who won The Hunger Games at age 14, who becomes allies with heroine Katniss Everdeen. He is also understood to be a fictional dreamboat – his imaginary good looks have spawned an abundance of Facebook appreciation groups devoted to the character, such as: Finnick Odair is a thief he stole my heart and kept it forever and We just saw Finnick Odair in his underwear.
