In today’s ‘Cool Story Bro’ News: Entertainment Edition, the first set of official photographs from the sequel to 2012’s highest grossing uncredited Battle Royale spin off, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, have been released and feature my imaginary BFFs and critically acclaimed actors Jennifer Lawrence and Philip Seymour Hoffmann as Katniss Everdeen and newcomer Plutarch Heavensbee respectively, looking dashing in resplendent Panem garb.
The first pictures are mere press kindling volunteered as tribute to spark the fire of interest in the sequel; a fire which will inevitably catch on with later trailers, clips and public appearances by Lawrence [so hot right now] and her slightly-wooden co-stars Josh Hutcherson, an unidentified Hemsworth, and newcomber Sam Claflin, whose casting as resident heartthrob and Hunger Games champ, Finnick, provoked the ire and militant outrage of the character’s pre-pubescent fans.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is directed by Francis Lawrence and opens November 22. It stars Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland, divisive costuming and the unflinching endorsement of infanticide as entertainment. May the odds be ever in your etc.
