Hoooooo boy, is this one ever a doozy.
Following on from yesterday’s bombshell social media post that saw Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson label some of male ‘Fast 8‘ co-stars “candy asses” who were too “chicken shit,” the story has since opened up wide with more details emerging from the apparently tense film set.
Whilst yesterday we speculated that it could well have been Scott Eastwood who was the subject of Rock’s ire, TMZ is now claiming that it was Vin Diesel instead who The Great One has clashed with. The Rock vs Vin Diesel. Nothing about this, nothing at all, is OK.
The ‘Fast 8‘ set has apparently had a much different vibe than the usually brotherly camaraderie that other films in the franchise have carried. And Vin’s double duty as not only a star of the film, but as a producer, is reportedly at the source of the heat between him and The Rock.
More to that, tensions reportedly got so close to actual fisticuffs (THE ROCK AND VIN DIESEL NEARLY PUNCHED ON, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD) that an emergency meeting between the two had to be called in order to smooth things over for Rock’s last few days on set.
For what it’s worth E! News cites an “unnamed source” from the set who claims that “Some of the guys did some small things that pissed [The Rock] off, so he snapped. He called them out and then they were [too] silent to man up and say what they wanted to say.”
The Rock and Vin Diesel cannot fight. The Rock and Vin Diesel must be m8s. Really gr8 m8s. I cannot stand the idea of two super dudes biffing on with one another.
Let’s just hope the beef has been successfully squashed.
That, or they irrationally hold onto the grudge and spend the next five decades staring each other down from across the room.
Either way, it’s a win for us.
