Petrificus totalis! Best known for her portrayal of Harry Potter heroine Hermione Granger, British actress Emma Watson continues her foray into the fashion world through Burberry’s F/W 09-10 ad campaign, shot by Mario Testino.
Though it occasionally feels like she’s playing dress-ups in her Mother’s wardrobe, the fit between Watson and Burberry is as perfect as the cut of their trench coats. Burberry = quintessential British fashion house. Emma Watson = Star of Harry Potter. If drug addled musicians were somehow involved you’d have England’s top three pop culture exports (just kidding). Hooliganism has to rate higher surely. Kidding again.
Burberry’s creative director, Christopher Bailey, said of Watson in a press release: “Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign who like the images she fronts, has a classic beauty a great character and a modern edge,”
