I spent like ten minutes trying to come up with a ‘New Rules‘ joke that would work in the headline of this piece, but sadly I couldn’t get there. I just wanted you all to know that I tried, but the point of this story is that Dua Lipa and Anwar Hadid are dating, and I couldn’t be happier for them.
It was first rumoured that the pair were together when she attended his birthday party in June, after she split from long-term boyfriend Isaac Carew. This weekend, they were spotted cuddling up together in the crowd at the British Summer Time festival in London‘s Hyde Park.
They haven’t made any official statement, so make of the photos what you want.
Anwar is the younger brother of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid. He once dated actress Nicola Peltz, and was rumored to be in a relationship with Kendall Jenner, the most enigmatic and sphinx- like of all the Kardashians, but nothing was ever confirmed.
Dua Lipa was most recently rumoured to be dating Chris Martin of Coldplay, so I guess the real moral of this story is that if you are remotely famous, you’ll end up being spuriously “linked” to a lot of people you are not actually dating and may never have met.
