Jennifer Lawrence’s otherwise inimitable
twin sister Rebel Wilson recently became the star of an identity theft comedy of errors
not starring Melissa McCarthy when a drunk gal having
a super fun night and being a nuisance in Bondi was able to convince police she was
the Rebel Wilson, friend of
MC and erstwhile
INXS cover band member,
Hugh Sheridan.
Wilson yesterday told that inexplicably popular talk show on
2dayFM, you know the one, that she’d recently received a txt msg from Sheridan “saying where are you, are you back in Australia? The Bondi police are looking for you, you’ve apparently been drunk and doing these crimes.”
Apparently, says Wilson, a Bondi poseur with a natural aptitude for impressions and who should really considering taking some acting classes “got totally smashed, and was convincing people that she was me, including the police, and saying that she lived with Hugh Sheridan, because we’re both actors and would be friends,” natch.
“She must be a bit fat,” continued the ever self-deprecating Wilson. “I’m quite distinctive, if anyone Googled me. But the police didn’t. The police went straight to calling Hugh Sheridan at 2.30 in the morning Australian time, trying to hunt me down. Hugh thought it was a prank, so he called back the number and it was the Bondi police station.”
An identity theft comedy of errors starring Melissa McCarthy is probably already in the works.
