I’m from Melbourne, I’m 26 and I’ve recently finished studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics. When I got the call to tell me I’d won the $20k, I was in complete disbelief. It’s really turned my year around after a lot of time spent on balancing university, paid work and volunteering. The boring but sensible part of me has at least half of the money going straight into savings, but the rest I’m having my fun with as we speak. I’m currently a month into a three month trip backpacking around Europe – in fact I’m writing this response on a train across Norway!
CHRIS, 30, SYD
I’m a 30 year old mortgage broker, and I currently live in Sydney’s Inner West, where I like to hang out with friends, drinking and eating great food around the area.
I was pretty sceptical when I got the call telling me I’d won at first, but I soon realised it was legit. I was still shocked and it didn’t really sink in until after the phone call ended. I haven’t spent any of the cash yet, but I’m planning on putting it towards a new car purchase towards the end of the year, when the make I want is released.
ANNABELLE, 20, SYD
I’m 22 and currently live in Sydney, where I study psychology and work in waitressing. I was completely in shock to find out I’d won, I didn’t know how to react! I’m planning on using some of the money to travel, and then I’ll be saving the rest. I’m planning to go to Vietnam first!
