There’s quite literally nothing harder to deal with than losing a loved one. It eats you up inside and the fallout after they pass can be a time of immense emotional uncertainty.
Yet, Arrow star Colton Haynes has showcased his mother’s bravery and determination in an Instagram post that’s defs going to make you cry.
The 29-year-old posted a photo of his Mum in a hospital bed and gave fans an insight into his mother’s tenacity and spirit.

“My mom, Dana, always loves to laugh. Even when her liver & kidney doctors gave us the worst news you could get, my mom looked at us and said, ‘The best thing to do in these situations is to laugh.’” He began. “She then chuckled so loud you could hear it to the other end of the hospital. That’s my mom. She’s funny, bull-headed, & strong.”
He went on to say that she’d been struggling with health issues since January, and now doctors have recommended that they focus on her quality of life instead of the quantity.
The family have done what they can to ensure she’s comfortable by providing in-home hospice care with visits from a nurse on “a ‘need be’ basis.”
His brother, Clinton, has set up a GoFundMe page to help with out of pocket costs and anything raised over the limit will be donated to The American Liver Foundation.
Incredibly sad stuff, but once again it shows how the internet can rally around each other to do some good.
