Chris Hemsworth’s Giant Package Is Everywhere In The “Vacation” Trailer

Before any of your fears begin running away from you, Vacation is fully aware that it’s a reboot. Employing some of the tongue-in-cheek, self-aware, meta-humour that made the 21 Jump Street series as goddamned funny as what it was, Vacation looks like it’ll play off it’s place in the National Lampoon pantheon for as many laughs as possible.

The more-or-less sequel to the 1983 original classic, and officially the fifth instalment in the Vacation series, brings things full circle as a grown up Rusty Griswold takes his family on the trip his Dad had taken him on all those years ago – a cross-country road trip to Wally World.
The cast is fairly stacked with a who’s who of comedic talent, including Ed Helms as Rusty, Christina Applegate as his wife Debbie, Leslie Mann as Audrey Griswold-Crandall, Charlie Day, Keegan Michael-Key, Regina Hall, Nick Kroll, Tim Heidecker, Kaitlin Olson, Michael Peña, and the returning Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo as Clark and Ellen Griswold.
The red band trailer (decidedly NSFW, just FYI) also features our own Chris Hemsworth‘s role in the film, replete with a hefty glimpse at the uh… prosthesis he had to wear.
Assuming that is a prosthesis, that is. If not, now we all know how he tells time without a watch.
Vacation was written and directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley (who you might remember as Lance Sweets from Bones, or Sam Weir from Freaks & Geeks).
Vacation is scheduled for release on July 31st.
