I dunno what it is, but there’s something about stale celebrity feuds (a.k.a. star showdowns that occurred years ago and are no longer relevant) that I find absolutely riveting. Thrilling, even. Givvus that vintage tea, biiiiiinch. And this TikTok user has done just that by revealing that Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively were at odds while filming their 2018 thriller, A Simple Favour.
A TikTok account, aptly named Celebrity Memoir Bookclub, shared a vid claiming that “by the end of A Simple Favour, Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick were not speaking. They were basically enemies and their press tours had to be booked separately.”
The TikToker speculates what went down between the pair, pointing out that Blake Lively famously feuded with her Gossip Girl co-star, Leighton Meester, but on the other-hand, Anna Kendrick is notoriously difficult to work with.

The TikTok star immediately became pummelled questions about the video’s validity because, well, pretty much anyone can make this shit up and she hasn’t really backed up her claims by saying where she got the info.
Then in a subsequent vid, she revealed that she got the tea about the Blake Lively / Anna Kendrick barney from “someone who worked at the studio.” Interesting.
She went on to reveal that after sharing the vid, she received a DM from someone who claims to have worked at film company Lionsgate who confirmed that “the rumours are true.”
“They HATED each other. The studio even had to have a talk with them about making it look like they liked each other on press tours because it was starting to get obvious.”
They added, “Anna in particular was really competitive with Blake and was constantly asking to make sure she got more promotion than Blake and even made us PHOTOSHOP HER CLEAVAGE in the Simple Favour poster to be as big (or bigger) than Blake’s.”

Okay so I’ve done some digging and it turns out rumours of a feud between the pair have been circulating for years and get this, according to one report, Taylor Swift had something to do with it.
In September 2017, Star reported that the iconique friendship between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift caused a rift with Anna Kendrick while filming A Simple Favour. An insider told the magazine that Kendrick had mocked Swift’s infamous squad on multiple occasions, even after Lively told her to stop. Yiiiiiiikes.
Taking all of this with a grain of salt since it’s unverified spicy gossip, but true or not, who can resist a sip of tea every now and then?
