Barack Obama Has Never Called Kanye At Home, Says Obama

While we would never accuse Kanye of speaking about himself with unnecessary levels of hyperbole, old mate Barack Obama appeared on Kimmel overnight, and cleared a few things up about their alleged friendship.

During a recent talk at Oxford University, Yeezy, whose life is still a lot more interesting than yours, said that he talks to the leader of the free world on the regular, and that “he calls the home phone, by the way.”
Per the leader of the free world himself, though, that statement may have been something of an exaggeration, and that he does not, in fact, have Kanye’s digits:
“I’ve met Kanye twice,” Obama said. “The first time was when I was a senator and he was with his mom. He’d just gotten big. He’s from Chicago, so they wanted to meet, and he was very soft-spoken and very gracious.”
“He was a young guy, and hadn’t quite come into his own,” the President continued. “About six months ago, he came to an event and, look, I love his music and he’s incredibly creative.”
That’s still a big turnaround from the guy who once called Kanye a “jackass.” While he was there, Obama also took the opportunity to read some mean Tweets about himself, and it was incredible:
