Looks Like Another ‘Bachie’ Contestant Will Have A Go At ‘I’m A Celebrity…’

Tara Pavlovic is apparently set to follow in the footsteps of her Bachelor in Paradise co-stars, Keira Maguire and Laurina Fleure, and give I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here a red hot go. Fun fact for those of us who can’t remember anything that happened in 2015: OG Bachie couple Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich competed on season one!

According to New Idea, she could even be joined in the jungle by her ma, Debbie Newsome, a ‘hostess’ on Perfect Match in the ’80s, and current Janis Joplin impersonator.

Anyway, let’s go to New Idea’s trusted source for all the info:

Tara has been approached by producers. They know she is a fan favourite, but they also thought it would be great to get Debbie on board too, to appeal across a whole range of ages.”

The source isn’t so sure Pavlovic is keen on having her mum join her on the series. “Tara’s not sure about Deb being on the show with her. She thinks Deb will overshadow her and Tara really wants a chance to win back the public after her bitter split.

Quick refresh: Pavlovic did not find love with Matty J on the fifth season of The Bachelor, before becoming engaged to Sam Cochrane on Bachelor in Paradise. The relationship fell apart amid accusations of physical abuse from Cochrane, while Pavlovic claimed she was emotionally abused by her ex-fiancé. The last media reports had Cochrane threatening legal action against Pavlovic for “bad-mouthing him on social media“.

Newsome though, she’s be pretty chuffed to have a crack at some carefully orchestrated jungle hijinks. “Deb would love a bit of a comeback. She loved the spotlight back in the day and is ready for more.

Pavlovic and Newsome could be joining other reality TV hopefuls in South Africa, like Married at First Sight‘s Nasser Sultan, who was broadcast bragging about the gig to his MAFS co-star Ryan Gallagher on Kyle & Jackie O, or Love Island‘s Grant Crapp, who fuelled jungle rumours with this Insty back in September:

The fifth season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here is expected to air in 2019 – which is when Network Ten promise to reveal the full line-up. For now they’re not confirming or denying any speculation.
