By now you’ve probably heard that Ariana Grande and her new hubby Dalton Gomez are a happily (and secretly) married couple, but Arianators are convinced we’ve had the evidence towards them getting hitched since late last year.
When Grande’s sixth album Positions landed in late 2020, fans went absolutely nutso over the fact that Grande was slowing it down and switching her tone from ultra-pop bops to a more chill R&B vibe.
Another thing they clamoured over was the multiple references that Grande made to Mac Miller throughout the album. They were super well hidden, but they were definitely there, and some eagle-eyed fans managed to spot them out pretty fast. What fans may have missed though, is the multiple references that Grande made towards her secret wedding with Gomez.

Let’s explore some of the lyrics shown in this tweet from Twitter user @povinventedyou, and talk about how we’ve had dead giveaways for months, but we’ve all been too dumb to notice.
West Side
This one is undoubtedly the most on-the-nose reference to getting hitched, but nobody really took it seriously because this isn’t the first time that Grande has sang about a boy with intense hyperbole.
However, turns out West Side was about Gomez all along, and includes multiple references to not rushing into things, and taking things slow with him.
Worst Behavior
This line here really sums up the whole relationship between Gomez and Grande, because they haven’t been posting many pics of each other, compared to past relationships that were shared all the time.
Some fans however believe it’s also a reference to the fact that the wedding was in secret, and that Grande has always maintained intentions to keep her wedding a total mystery.
Also, this love just ain’t disposable… disposable camera… genius.

I guess nobody thought Grande would actually go out and marry this guy so soon, but hey, power to her.
Love Language
Here’s one I fished out myself, which is pretty damn suggestive of marriage. We should have known that Grande was looking for someone to marry when she so quickly engaged Pete Davidson, and that she wasn’t playing around.
But hey, she found her home in Gomez, which is fkn adorable.
Personally, I’m just kicking myself because even I didn’t take all of the above lyrics seriously after the many times I’ve listened to the album. Mrs. Gomez, what else are you hiding in your album?
