Adele Was Feeling The Royal Wedding Way Harder Than Any Mere Mortal

Last night played out a bit like this for me: I was at a mate’s party and we were all talking about how we didn’t get the hype around the royal wedding and didn’t really give a shit, but by around 8.45, some mystical force had pulled us all to the television and we were utterly ENGROSSED in every minute from there on out. I guess we actually did care a bit about the royal wedding after all, but the point of all this is that we didn’t care as much as Adele, because NOBODY cared as much as Adele. Check this out:

The singer, who sadly did not actually attend the wedding, was one of an estimated three billion people who watched it from home, donning a fascinator and pairing it with a somehow-very-on-brand animal print snuggie, and knocking back some quality bubbles.

She also paid tribute to the couple and Harry’s late mother, writing:

Congratulations Meghan and Harry. You’re the most beautiful bride. I can’t stop thinking of how happy Princess Diana is upstairs

In case you missed it, earlier this month, Adele recreated key scenes from Titanic for her 30th birthday, and shared photos of the joyous occasion, and I really can’t say anything more about that because everything about it is just perfect:

The moral of the story is that Adele is a sweet and beautiful angel who parties harder than any mortal being and I think we need to be friends.
