Adele‘s recent tour of Australia and NZ was a bloody delight: she fended off a swarm of bugs, abused a security guard and sang at the top of her two perfect lungs, all of which made us love her that little bit more.
One superfan from the UK froths of her *so* much that she literally ditched the wedding of her oldest friend to see Adele live after scoring free tix to a show on the same day.
Adding salt to the wound is the fact the date was set three whole years earlier.
The burnt bride-to-be posted about her friend’s pretty borked priorities on mummy forum Mumsnet, looking for advice.
“She got these tickets as a gift at the beginning of this year,” she explained. “I think for me it’s more that she hasn’t even tried to swap them [for an alternate date], she’s shown no interest in the wedding. She didn’t even RSVP until I chased her and asked if she was coming or going to the concert.”
The woman – who first met her friend in school, 30 odd years ago – added that she feels “completely let down as I know I would never do this to her”.
“To be fair, she didn’t buy the tickets. They were a gift. But there are five other shows and a dedicated ticket swap website and she didn’t even try to swap her tickets for a different night.”

In defence of her unnamed friend, Adele *did* hint that her current world tour may be the last she ever done, which bumps the experience to the category of ‘once-in-a-life-time’.
Meanwhile, roughly 1 in 3 marriages end in divorce these days so there’s always the chance that her friend – – – ok, we’ll stop.
