The first few contestants to grace the Australian Survivor’s latest season have apparently been revealed, and goddamn, imagine having to do even half of those challenges against a bona fide Olympian.
Spoilers ahead. Obviously.
According to Aussie television lords DeciderTV, the latest edition of the reality entertainment mainstay will see 26-year-old Nicola Zagame test her mettle against 23 other contestants. Zagame scored herself a bronze medal with the Australian water polo team at the London Olympics, so good luck to everyone who attempts to one-up her on the Samoan shoreline.
Perth-based photog / international roamer Jarrad Seng is also on deck for the next season, and it’s likely the skills ol’ mate has learned in jungles across the planet might do him well. A quick browse of his seriously lush Instagram reveals the bloke isn’t afraid of the wilderness, and y’all should be keen to see what he makes of the tropical set.
Byron Bay marriage celebrant Jacqui Patterson, model Sarah Tilleke, and American pro poker player Adam Parkin round out the individuals currently thought to be taking part in the new season.
While DeciderTV wasn’t able to reveal any more identities, the site reports a doctor, a plumber, an adventure guide, an endurance sport competitor, and an ex-special forces operative will also be vying for host Jonathan LaPaglia’s affection.
Those players were whittled down from 20,000 applications, a full 5,000 more than applied for the last bout. Expect to see ’em all when the show returns to screens on Channel 10 sometime this year.
