1 Dead, Several Injured After Horrific U.S. Carnival Ride Malfunction

It has been reported that one person has died and several injured, including five in a critical condition, after a ride at Ohio State Fair malfunctioned.

Officials have stated that the deceased is an 18-year-old man, and two of the injured are adults.
The accident happened on the Fire Ball ride, when one of the cars on the claw-like end of the pendulum-style ride broke away and flew across the fairground.
Governor John Kasich has released a statement following the tragedy, confirming that he has issued an investigation, considering the rides are apparently run through safety checks before every season.

Ohio officials held a press conference today, confirming the death, and the details of the seven people injured in the accident.

We’ll keep you updated on this one, and you can find the footage pretty easy if you really want to see it, but good lord it’s like something straight out of Final Destination
