Messina’s Doing A Gelato Christmas Trifle & May God Have Mercy On Us All

gelato messina trifle

Unbuckle your belts and clear your freezers, friends, because gelato juggernaut Messina has come up with the dessert to end all desserts, and possibly humanity itself: a gigantic gelato Christmas trifle.

Aptly dubbed the Christmas Coma, the sugary monstrosity comprises gobs of vanilla custard gelato, vanilla whipped cream, rasperry and marsala jelly, peach jellies, raspberry meringue, sherry soaked jam rolls and blood peach sorbet, garnished with white chocolate leaves and cherry truffles.

If you feel a curious blend of sick and ravenous after reading that, you’re not alone, my friend.

According to Messina, the whopping dessert comes with a whole litre of their own brandy custard in a custom-printed bottle, and a bag of chocolate-coated nuts and rice crispies. Because you’re definitely going to be in the mood for more sugar after hoeing into that pile of bad decisions.

The things go on sale tomorrow morning (that’s Tuesday, Dec 5), and you’ll be able to pick them up between Dec 22 and Dec 24. Obviously there’s only a limited number available, so be quick, and have your Chrissie bonus ready – they’re going for $120 a pop.

For giving 18-20 of your closest friends and family the sugar hangover of a lifetime? Small change.

Find out where and how to order and pick up right HERE, and may God have mercy on all our sugar-loving souls.
