In true Kate fashion, she announced the news in style with a gallery of gorgeously designed images, captioned with “She’s here.”

“10-2-18” the first tile reads, followed by. “Welcome Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa.”

“We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa,” she adds. “Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honour. Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”

Hudson and Fujikawa started dating back in December 2016, though they knew each other for 15 years prior to becoming an item.

“The first time I met Danny I was 23 and enormously pregnant with Ryder,” Hudson once recalled via Instagram on their anniversary. “His step sisters are my best friends @sarafoster @erinfoster and so it goes we have been in the same circle for over a decade!”

“A year ago today Danny took me on a hike and what I thought was just a hike with a family friend turned very quickly into an unexpected first date. No moves were made on this first date. In fact, it took months for him to make a first move! And as a kiss on this bridge would have been nice, the kiss a year later was so much sweeter.”

Congratulations to the happy fam!
