Celeste Barber – Australian icon and legend has done it again, this time with a series of videos showing Barber backstage and at rehearsals for American fashion designer Tom Ford‘s New York Fashion Week show.
If you’re not familiar with Barber’s work, here’s a nice example of one of her finest.
Oh, and here’s a video of Barber pashing Tom Ford like it’s no big deal suitably captioned: “Tom Ford called and I FUCKING ANSWERED”.
On Insta alone, the comedian’s currently got an easy 4.7 million followers which is a bloody solid effort.
Back in late August, Barber told Vogue Australia she would be flying over to New York with her husband to work with Ford.
Barber described meeting the designer as a “surreal moment”.
“It was the most stylish office I’ve ever been in, not that I’ve been in many fancy offices. But fucking hell!!! He’s the sexiest man in the whole wide world and I know a sexy man ’cos I’m married to the hottest one ever.”
Absolute legend.
And though Barber isn’t an offish model Ford still had some quality advice for the comedian.
“I never know what to wear and he said to me: ‘Play to your legs’, so that’s all I care about now. And he said to me: ‘You are beautiful, you don’t ever need to lose weight’, so now if anyone ever says I need to lose weight, I say: ‘Well, Tom Ford told me I don’t have to, so you can suck a fart.’”
So in video one we have a cool, calm, and collected Barber stealing a whole bunch of goodies backstage at the ~ Tom Ford Buffet ~.
In video two we’ve got Barber trying out an array of looks… successfully and not so successfully with Ford by her side. And, Barber giving us her very best catwalk.
And then there’s my absolute favourite of Barber taking to the runway with a bunch of other models who so RUDELY get in her way.
